I have a $300.00 car note, a $100.00 car insurance, $140.00 orthodontics bill, and $40.00 credit card bill. Recently I cashed a check into my savings account for $2960.00, thinking that was help me pay off some of these bills. I just learned that the check may be a fraud. I asked the bank teller was it OK and she assured me that it was, I also called the company to check to she if the check was real. Now I owe my bank $1600.00. I’m 21 with good credit(had)… What to do?

Has anyone gotten braces recently that could tell me what it cost? I just need them on my upper teeth to close a gap, but I wanted to know about how much money I’d be in for before I went to see an orthodontist. My insurance doesn’t cover orthodontics. Thanks.

I’m 35 and want braces. When I went for my consult I was told I had so much going on in my mouth that I might need some type of surgical work done before I put braces on. I have a missing tooth in the upper front of my mouth that have been missing since I was 8yrs old so all my teeth are going all over the place. I ask if insurance would cover the surgical part, if I ended up needing it and she said no. I’m so ready to feel good about myself and I know I can’t pay for anything surgical. I don’t have money like that. I’m a single mother of three. I don’t want to give up because I need to do this for me. Can anyone give me some advice or is there any dentist that can do some pro bono work to help me out, please. I have lived like this for 27yrs and it hurts. Thanks and have a bless day.

I am looking to buy insurance and I need my wisdom teeth out. What is that called?? I want to get insurance that will pay pretty well for that service, but I do not know what “type” of service that is.
There is Endodontics, Periodontics, Orthodontics (don’ think it is that one)…
Some Insurance plans pay more for 1 type than another, so which “kind” of dental work is that? Thanks

I’ve been received treatment with Invisalign for about 2 years now, but the treatment isn’t going well. My case is too complicated for this treatment (I just found out) and my dentist did it anyway. I saw a few orthodontists and they recommended going with regular braces, so I want to do that.
However, how do I get my money back? how much can I get back to apply toward the new treatment? How should I talk to my current dentist to get the money back?
Thank you,

My 10 y/o son has a “severe Overbite” per his dentist and said that an Orthodontist may even have to break his jaw to correct this. If this is done, is it done under a general? Is it an inpatient procedure or out patient? Is there anyway that regular medical insurance can be used to pay for this? I don’t have dental but do have really good health insurance.

I’m going to Vegas on July 10th and want to be fairly certain that I won’t be in any pain or held back from doing anything (smoking, drinking, eating) when I’m in Vegas. Since that’s about 4 weeks, from what I’ve read, its plenty of time. Also, I have Invisalign right now. I don’t want to wait till I’m done because the chance that my wisdom teeth can cause my Invisalign straightening to be negated, but should I be able to wear my trays after a few days? They only go to my last molar and are very tight fitting, so I don’t see how it would really hurt if I wait a few days after my extraction to start wearing them again. Any orthodontists with advice?

Orthodontics Defined Orthodontics may be the specialty of dentistry that's concerned using the study and treatment of malocclusion (improper bites), which may be a result of tooth irregularity, disproportionate jaw relationships, or both. Orthodontic therapy can focus on dental displacement only, or can deal using the control and modification of facial growth. In the latter case it is better defined as "dentofacial orthopedics". Orthodontic therapy can be carried out for purely aesthetic reasons with regards to improving the general appearance of patients' teeth. Nevertheless, you will find orthodontists who work on reconstructing the whole face rather than focusing exclusively on teeth. Therapy is also frequently prescribed for practical reasons for example providing the patient having a functionally improved bite (occlusion).
