Affordable Health Insurance In Florida?

im 17, will be 18 in november, and i need to find health insurance. i need it to cover dental (orthodontics), prescriptions, and mental health services (depression, bipolar disorder).
i am a non smoker, and i have no kids.
please help!!!

Do not try to do this over the internet. The quote sites do not take into consideration any pre-existing health conditions. The depression and Bipolar will result in an automatic decline with most of the companies. If you are on medication for those conditions it will be even harder to get a policy. If you try to apply over the internet there is a good chance you will be declined, which will make it even harder to find a policy.
You’ll want to visit a local independent agent. The agent can talk with the underwriters of the different companies to see what your chances of getting a policy are before you apply and what options you have. Some companies might accept you but will not cover your health conditions or the prescriptions you take for those conditions. Some companies might cover your health conditions but will increase the premium. The agent can find that information as well.
Individual health policies generally don’t cover dental but they may have it as an option. Depending upon the dental policy you get you will have a waiting period of 12 to 36 months before qualifying for orthodontic procedures.
You may also consider a medical discount card. Be very wary of these cards. They are not regulated by the Department of Insurance nor do the people that sell them need to be licensed. This means you have little recourse when you have problems with the plan. If you are tempted by the low price and claims of “save up to 80%” be aware that very few doctors actually take these cards. It does you little good if you have to drive 4 hours to find a doctor that will accept the card. Montana couldn’t find any doctors in the whole state that actually took one card and only one dentist who was on probation for unlawful activities so they banned the sale of the card and fined the company. Before signing up with any discount plan get a list of doctors. If they won’t give you a list consider it to be a scam. Call the doctors on the list to make sure they’re still taking the card (many don’t even know that they’re listed as a provider) and that they’re accepting new patients.
Go To esurance.com and they will give you a list of plans you qualify for you can then choose a plan fit for you within your budget.
Dental isn’t covered under health insurance. If you’re already diagnosed with depression and bipolar, you’re probably not going to find a company willing to take you on, and give you ANY mental health benefits. Actually, you’re probably not going to find anyone willing to cover you.
Save your money for the orthodontics. And find a job for the health insurance. You’ll need access to the group policy through your employer.
