Braces Help! Need To Know If I Can Have Braces Put On In One State And Taken Off In Another…?

Hi I need a little help with a braces situation. See my parents are divorced me and my sis live with my mom in Florida but spend summers with our dad in New York. I was just wondering if I could have my braces put on in New York but have them checked up and taken off in florida? (our insurance doesn’t cover orthodontics in florida.)

  Well, this is complicated… my friend had her braces put on in CT, but she was born in Oregon and had plans on going back. She’s staying in CT to finish her braces and then probably moving. I don’t if this would be the same but it does sound similar…. good luck!

  yes that is fine i have had my braces put on in one sate and taken off in a different one just make sure to call the orthodontist ahead of time so he knows

  You’re gonna have to pay through the nose for it, but if you tell your orthodontist about it, it shouldn’t be a problem.

  Yes you can, but it won’t be covered by your insurance so you will be paying full price for the visits.
