		<description>There are a few different appliances.  Bands go around the molars next to your wisdom teeth and then the brackets are attached to the front of the rest of the teeth.  If they took an impression it could be that you will wear a palate expander that was being made by their lab.  
The seps are uncomfortable at first, but you get used to them.  If they fall out that just means there is enough room there to fit the bands they will be putting on.  Don&#039;t pull them out though.  
Nothing should hurt when they are putting them on.  You&#039;ll be sore for a couple of days afterward though.  We always tell our patients to take tylenol or something (but ask your orthodontist) to help with the pain as your teeth begin to move.  After a couple of days you shouldn&#039;t be too sore.
