Can I Still Have Invisalign?

Okay, so I am about to turn 13 years old, and my bottom second molars have fully erupted and I have lost all my teeth.
Do you have to have your upper second molars to get Invisalign?
I only have like a small bit of my upper second molar on one
part. It’s so small you can barely even see it, but you can feel it.
I am willing to try everything to get Invisalign, and I know
a lot of orthodontists do not recommend it for younger patients because they dont trust kids to wear them atleast 22 hours a day,
but I am very trustworthy and determined to have a great smile:]
Plus I have a minor small overbite, and a little bit of overly crowded teeth, but I read on Invisalign.com that it is perfect to fix that.
Please answer quickly:] Please and Thank you. -Joanna.

i’m 13 years oldd and i’m being treateed with invisalign!
my bottom molars are also fully erupted, one of my top ones is almost completely erupted, but my fourth one is only like 1/4 grown.
what they did is they left it out of the aligner. so for example one side has 4 molar spaces, and one only has 3 since they left room for it to grow in!
my parents were worried i woudln’t be responsible enough but it’s pretty easy!
the hardest part is constantly having to brush your teeth but after like a month they’re really shiny!
i would recommend them for you!
plus i have like the exact same dental situation as you, a tiny overbite and some of my teeth are a little crowded!
so if it works for me i think it would work for you!
if you have more questions feel free to ask!!
    goodd luck=)!*

You know sweety, if I were you I would go to an orthodontist. He’ll know! I was all about getting invisalign!!! But, then I thought about it long and hard. You have to take them out EVERY time you eat, how much of a pain would that be??? So finally I went with braces. And I’m SOOOO excited! Believe me, I was in your shoes honey! But, did you know that Invisalign usually takes LONGER than braces? I wanted my teeth fixed fast, so I went with braces!

invisalign is not for every case. It can move teeth but in a limited way. Depending on the situation, you may get away with just Invisalign, Invisalign with brackets, or your case may not be a good case for Invisalign.
Either way, the orthodontist will let you know after an evaluation if you are a good case.
BUT keep in mind, even if you are eligible for Invisalign, your parents will have to pay for it. General braces cost around two to three thousand dollars. Invisalign is MORE than that!
I’ve found that once the orthodontist says that he/she can get as good or better results with braces than parents usually opt for the braces instead of Invisalign.
To help your case, you may want to save your money or get a summer job to pay for your Invisalign case.
