Could Anyone Tell Me Their Experience With Ceramic Braces?

I am 21, female and just had my first orthodontist appointment today. He told me invisalign will not do much in my case, so I will be getting ceramic braces.
How noticeable are they? Do they hurt? and what goes into the whole process. No one in my family has braces, so I have no one to compare experiences with. Anything you have to offer is appreciated.

  they are less noticable because they are ceramic and not silver bright, loud, metal. id go with them because they are clear. it just looks liks you have dots on your teeth.
