Orthodontics Defined
Orthodontics may be the specialty of dentistry that's concerned using the study and treatment of malocclusion (improper bites), which may be a result of tooth irregularity, disproportionate jaw relationships, or both. Orthodontic therapy can focus on dental displacement only, or can deal using the control and modification of facial growth. In the latter case it is better defined as "dentofacial orthopedics". Orthodontic therapy can be carried out for purely aesthetic reasons with regards to improving the general appearance of patients' teeth. Nevertheless, you will find orthodontists who work on reconstructing the whole face rather than focusing exclusively on teeth. Therapy is also frequently prescribed for practical reasons for example providing the patient having a functionally improved bite (occlusion).
I paid only $2000 for mine because of this great plan I have. http://www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago now and they have saved me thousands since. From root canals, xrays, cleanings…etc. All services are provided in this very affordable plan. Orthodontics too! They even had my benefits active in 2 hours and was able to use it the very same day. Hope this helps.
You should have an appointment with your orthodontist. Every Ortho is different. It depends on how long your treatment takes, what type of correction is needed, and what type of braces you choose. I think the running rate for both top and bottom braces is around $15,000 in my area. Definately have a consultation with your ortho before you decide.
I got braces last year and mine cost about 8,000 because i got mine done from a professional. If you are getting braces done from a Dentist who is trained to do braces then it will cost much cheaper like around 2500+ because they aren’t experts. It all depends and the experience of your orthodontist. The more professional the more updated in technology that they will put on you. There are no specific prices or what so ever, it all depends on your orthodontist. If you have the chance you could book an appointment so your orthodontist could take a look at your teeth and you could ask them for a price. Hope this helped you!
Our insurance doesn’t cover orthedontics either and at my oldest daughter’s consultation the Dr. said roughly around $3,500. I have two kids that need braces within the next few years!
Just on your upper teeth might be less though, but I would think they would want to put them on all your teeth so they are all in align, I’m not an expert though so maybe they do just put them on the top.
to close the gap my friends was 2,000 by mine were about 5,000 b/c of my stupid over bite… i hate my teeth… if you go with Stewart and laabe they are really nice and the y give you like a lot of different ways to pay like down payments… followed by a monthly payment or pay it in full. I live in Maryland and i know they have 4 offices in Crofton, Bowie, and some other place. Sorry if this doesn’t help… :p
i just got mine on in May. Here in Louisiana, my total cost was 5200.00. This was for both upper and lower. My insurance does not cover orthodontics as well. Check around most orthodonist offices allow a down payment and then small monthly payments, this is what I did.
it costs ALOT. i needed them on all my teeth, my insurance didn’t cover it either, then i decided not to get them cuz my teeth straigtened by themselves- the price that i got for all my teeth for 2 years was – $5000 !!!!
My braces costs 3,000 dollars but for both top and bottom it depends on where you live and who you go too, it could rank anywhere from 2,500 to7,000 but if you don’t want braces there is always invisaline.
well, all my kids are having braces now and they cost roughly close to $5000 here in the Midwest. My friends on the eastcoast pay also roughly $5000 for their kids braces.
(+/- a few hundred dollars depending on the orthodontist)
depends on what all you need, sometimes you think you just need them on top because of a gap, and a gap can be fixed in different ways
braces can be from $2,00-$4,000
