I Want Invisalign.. Help?
okay ive had my top braces on for over a year (they’re super straight) and im getting my bottom braces on February 10 because i had to wear a bite plate for a few months. i really want invisalign cause i look disgusting in braces and im going to high school next year so i dont wanna look like that horrible. is it possible for the orthodontist to take off the top braces and ill get invisalign? and i didnt get my bottom braces on yet so can i get invisalign for the bottom too?

Unfortunately, the only way the orthodontists will change treatment like that is to take the braces off and then charge you a second time for the Invisilign.
There are a lot of things they do not tell you about Invisilign as well. Sometimes they need to glue some ‘globs’ of glue to the front of your teeth so that when you put the trays in, they will lock into place… (for some extra force). Also, if you have any type of crowning, they sand down the teeth some to make them fit. This is not something that can be reversed. Invisilign also just straightens your teeth. They do not help with your bite, (which can lead to more problems later on in life if not fixed properly).
You have already got a lot of your treatment out of the way with the regular braces, I would just say to stick it out. People won’t remember a lot of times that you even have braces. I see it in my office a lot.
Im not really sure if you or your family would want to pay that extra fee to change your treatment. Sorry about all that!!! But I am sure you will be ok, and like I said, a lot of people are pretty oblivious to those with braces! If they even give you a hard time, don’t worry, you’ll be the one with perfect teeth in the end!!!

most dentists will not take off braces and alot of ortho Dr’s request the $ upfront did you pay for them yet because they usually will not reimburse you. have you gotten colored rubber bands ion your braces? they really do not look that bad, I promise you are just not used to them yet.
