Rewarding Health Care Jobs Besides Doctors And Nursing?

I am a freshman at a small liberal arts school and am trying to decide what I want to major in. I have considered psychology, along with orthodontics, and nursing. What are some other rewarding health care jobs that I could enjoy. I want to have a hands on job; I could not stand working behind a desk everyday. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

It depends on how much schooling you want to go through. If you’re willing to go far you should consider getting a DPT (Doctorate in Physical Therapy). Very good pay, very respectable job, training/schooling is much less intense than med school or even nursing. Also consider clinical or school psychology or counseling. If you don’t want to have to pursue advanced degrees, then you could become a physical therapist assistant (only requires 2-year degree usually), or radiologic technician, ultrasound technician, pharmacy technician. These are lower grade jobs that don’t pay as much.
