The top portion of my teeth has very very minor crowding, you can’t tell unless you look up close and even than you’d have to look carefully…I can only tell when I run my fingernail along my top front tooths, it feels a little crooked…but my bottom has moderate crowding…nobody can see my bottom teeth when I smile because only my top shows, and my orthodontist said that I am a good candidate for the invisalign braces and that I should fix my bottom ones but it’s up to me if I want to get braces or not…should I spend the money and time on fixing minor crookedness that isn’t really visible? I have the cash but I would rather spend it elsewhere or just save it…

Straightening crooked teeth is not just for aesthetics [although that's why most patients do it]. From a dental aspect we like teeth that are straight as it tends to prevent future problems. When teeth are crooked it’s hard for you to get them clean and as you age crooked teeth tend to get more cavities and gum disease. Even with braces, as you get older, your lower teeth will tend to crowd up and become a little more crooked so it’s best to get them straightened out if you can. Good luck!
I would get them fixed, that way you won’t regret it when you are older.
it may not be severe now, but it may be when you get older. as long as your body grows, so do your teeth. it may not be as bad now but it may definitely change as you get older. i would consent a dentist and see what they think. if he doesnt think it will be bad then i wouldnt. even though dentists put any teenager WITH teeth in braces for the money, i think braces are more intended for people with severe teeth and jaw issues, and you are obviously not one of them. but definately ask your dentist. he should know whats best for your future.
Yes I got braces last october and I love it. My teeth are already stright. I payed 8g for everything to get my teeth looking good. At first you wont like it because you have to get spacers. But once you get going your gonna love it. What you do is take a picture first and than in like 2 months look at that picture and see the change. Because the first change is the biggest one. So trust me if you don’t get them its going to get bad. Your teeth will crowed more you will be food stuck in a place you can’t get to and you know what that will lead to. So Yes get them in the end and will love it because it will pay off
It all boils down to what’s worth your hard earned money. Invisalign could probably work great for you, but its going to cost some dough.
How much are perfect teeth worth to you? That’s what you need to answer for yourself.
