well my dentist said i dont need them, but my orthodontist said did. Theres not that much wrong with my teeth, just i have a gap in my front teeth, one front tooth is longer the other and that same tooth is positioned a little bit further out the the other one. also my two front bottom teeth and very close together with tiny gaps on each side. My mum said i didn’t need them because my mouth isnt that bad.. this is what they look like:

i really want braces because i dont like my teeth, but im so scared of the pain! i have a really low pain tolerance, and i dont think i could deal with the braces cutting my lips, and the pain in my gums, and the food that will get stuck in them! i was looking into Invisalign.. are they good? would you recommen them over normal braces? apparently they are pain-free and work in a less amount of time, is this true? PLEASE HELP ME!

well i can answer that easily. This is because my dentist kept on telling me to wait, longer for my teeth to grow, through, but i ignored him finally and went to the orthodontost who was shocked why i did not have it done earlier. It is soooo worth it, you have to think about the future, for your teeth to be perfect, and if it is only a gap you wont have them on for long. I admit, it is painfull for the first week, but you do get used to them ,and every time ou get them tightened they hurt less. Sooo do have them!!!! AND THEY SHOULD NOT REALLY CUT UR LIPS.
Well, your teeth are okay. If you just can’t stand the gap and the front tooth that’s longer than the other front tooth(I have the same problem and I hate it), go for it. It’s a lot of money, everyone who had braces says that it’s so worth it. I got braces today and I’m so psyched for the final result which will be in a long time!
Hope this helps!
Invisalign aren’t painless, but for minor flaws in the teeth they are wonderful. It is all up to you though, because your teeth aren’t terrible, but you could have perfect teeth. Personally, I feel much more confident with straight teeth with no gaps. But that is just me. Talk to your orthodontist about Invisalign, they are expensive but in the end worth it.
Hope this helps!

your teeth are not that bad and that is kinda what my teeth looked like and i have braces and now they are staight and they are together but i have only had them for a year and they do make your teeth soar for a couple of days until you get them tightend and then they are only for a day or two
unless you have a problem with your gap. but other than that you teeth are fine! My teeth were horrible! i had braces for 3 years! I would be satisfied with my teeth if i were you.
i think you should get regular braces b/c people just say that to get people to get their kind of thing they are selling. so i’d say you get regular.
:]
you should get normal braces. thats wat i am getting. i dont have very much wrong with my teeth at all but i am still getting it because I want to.
Hi, i have braces and they don’t actually hurt. When you get them fitted they ache a bit that night but its not really bad – it can be solved with painkillers. They do sometimes rub on your gums but only for the first few weeks until your gums get used to them and harden up a bit. Your teeth arn’t that bad so you wont have them for very long – it won’t take a long time to close up those gaps, and will be worth it in the end. Food does sometime get stuck in them but comes out easily with a tooth brush. You also get a little brush to clean behind the wires to make sure nothing is stuck. Invisalign does not work for all people but i think it may work for you. Although i think you have to pay for invisalign even if you are under 18. I’m not totally sure so ask your ortho. Anyway good luck ! You will have beautiful teeth after ! x
first of all orthodontists tell you anything to make more money so if your fine with your teeth dont get them becuase they are expensive. And if you are up to the pain and your parents have the money go for it. And I was looking into invisalgn too but he truth is it is SOOOO much more expensive than braces and braces does the same thing as them but maybe a little more slower which makes it more likely for your teeth to actually stay straight istead of straight for 3 months. And also your teeth are fine. You have a gap but maybe when you get older it will go away, mine did but my teeth started overlapping it was going to cause health problems. But if you did get braces I bet you would only need them for a little while since your teeth are nice looking now.
Best of luck!
I’m currently wearing invisalign right now and I don’t have any problems with them. I recommend consulting with your orthodontist to see if you are a candidate for invisalign. When you put on your invisalign for the first time ever, they feel a little uncomfortable and foreign in your mouth, but in a few days you notice them less. In fact, most people don’t notice I’m wearing them at all until I point it out. For the first couple of days after putting in a new tray, there is discomfort, but it disappears after wearing them for awhile. If you decide on invisalign you have to make sure you wear them consistently or your teeth won’t move like they are supposed to and the whole process will take much longer then it should. Also, you need to make sure your teeth are clean before putting on your invisalign after eating something that will stain. On the other hand, you can eat whatever you want with invisalign. You just take it out before you eat. The orthodontist I go to specializes in invisalign so when it came down to deciding between metal braces and invisalign, invisalign turned out to be the cheaper option. However, this may not be true in other places. The orthodontist i went to previously said I was not a candidate for invisalign at all and he did not recommend them for most of his clients. No matter what you choose, your teeth should straighten out well. I’ve never heard of someone’s gums receding because of braces before. Ask your orthodontist about it and they should be able to let you know for sure.
Good luck!
You’ll have to check with your dentist and an orthadontist to see if you need them. I thought that they wanted to give me them just because I had an overbite but when we were talking they showed me that be teeth were leaning inwards on the bottom and outward on the top. The gum and tooth pain is easy to fix with LOTS of tylenol. My orthodontist gave me wax to cover by braces when the bother the insides of my cheeks and lips, but that doesn’t help… I’m still trying to figure out what does.
