Okay we found a nice location for sale and we want to build our first home on it! My husband recently finished orthodontics school but worked as a dentist while he was in orthodontics school so we have some money saved up and would like to build a nice little home for us and our brand new baby! We are currently living in an apartment. Here’s what we’d like our house to be like…
1 story. 3 bedrooms. 2 bathrooms. Kitchen. Dining area. Family room and a small porch out back.
We are thinking of making it out of brick.
I would LOVE for it to be made out of stone and wood but I’m thinking that would make it cost a lot more am I right? And if so how much more?
We arent plannning on have a living room, is that a buy idea and will it make it harder to sell?
I’m just wondering what you would estimate a house like this costing? Thanks for you answers!

Has anyone gotten braces recently that could tell me what it cost? I just need them on my upper teeth to close a gap, but I wanted to know about how much money I’d be in for before I went to see an orthodontist. My insurance doesn’t cover orthodontics. Thanks.

I lost my invisalign retainer at least 3 or 4 months ago and I’ve been irresponsible enough about it to not do anything until now. I still wear the upper half of my retainer which keeps my top row of teeth aligned, although my bite has significantly changed because I’m missing my lower aligner.
I want to buy a new one desperately, but I don’t have much money and what I do have I am saving up for college (which I will be attending in less than 2 months). I’m concerned because I’ve heard the cost for molds, etc will be around 300$!
My main questions are; How will my orthodontist be able to replace my lost retainer now that my teeth have moved?
and… How much will it cost?
Braces on the bottom half of my mouth would be so expensive… and my parents are definitely not willing to fix my mistakes so it’s up to me
Pity/help me!

I’m having the procedure done if my insurance pays for it or isn’t too costly to me. I’ll also be having lower jaw surgery post-orthodontics.

I only need to straighten my bottom teeth, and my dentist recommended Invisalign. I was given a rough quote of $5000, but I don’t think this was customized to my case. Does anyone know if Invisalign costs less if you only fix the top or bottom teeth, or is it $5000 always? Also, my insurance says it covers 50% of orthodontics but doesn’t mention Invisalign. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

I previously had braces for about 4 years, and had them taken off when I was 14… now I’m about to be 22, and my front teeth are becoming crooked again (a slight overlap) since, unfortunately, my orthodontist never told me I had to wear my retainer for the rest of my life (as many of my friends have also come to find out as well). I only want to get braces on my top teeth, and my insurance will not cover me getting braces a second time… I know that the price varies widely depending on the case and I was wondering if anyone knew of a rough estimate for minor work.

I’m looking into Essix retainers, and I’m trying to get a price range on them before I pay $50 to an Orthodontist to tell me something that takes them 30 seconds to explain. I’m also interested in how much the impressions usually cost, because I’m going to need them for new retainers.
FYI: Essix retainers are like invisalign, in that they’re retainers that are made of plastic only that fit over your teeth, rather than around, like metal and acrylic retainers.

Hi all,
I went to an orthodontist a few years back, and while I don’t recall how much they were charging me, they did mention that the gap in my teeth that I wanted fixed, would also need a minor surgery in my mouth in order to move a muscle that is between my teeth.
What is this procedure called, what type of doctor does it, and how much would it run to have taken care of? I have put aside money in my flexible spending account to cover the cost of Invisalign braces, but I will also need to take care of this as well. I would appreciate any information you can give me.
Thanks!

I had my consultation at an orthodontist this past week, and the plan is to put regular braces on the bottom teeth, and maybe invisalign or maybe regular braces on the top teeth. It is not bad like a lot of spacing or torqued teeth, just crowded. And I am an adult. They told me cost for adult is between $6000-$7000 – it would come out around $6300. I was prepared to hear maybe $4000, but was shocked at this price. Anybody have experience with same situation and can advise me about this price? Thanks!
