I am a freshman at a small liberal arts school and am trying to decide what I want to major in. I have considered psychology, along with orthodontics, and nursing. What are some other rewarding health care jobs that I could enjoy. I want to have a hands on job; I could not stand working behind a desk everyday. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. im 17, will be 18 in november, and i need to find health insurance. i need it to cover dental (orthodontics), prescriptions, and mental health services (depression, bipolar disorder).

Im planning on getting heath insurance in a year to afford major orthodontic surgery. On their best benefits package, they say 12 month waiting period and 2,500 liftime limit of orthodontics. Now my friend said they will cover the entire 15,000 surgery. How does that work?

Yes, many dental insurances will cover a part of your
orthodontic costs. Beware of the waiting periods for
any ortho work though. There are other plans that
will cover orthodontic work without waiting periods too,
see below.

Most health insurance plans do not cover orthodontia, but some dental plans do. The amount of the benefit varies greatly from plan to plan.
Your best bet is to speak to human resources or your benefits coordinator and see what your school system offers.
