i am 25 and can not afford private health cover i am in desperate need of orthodontics and was wondering if there was a place you could get them for free maybe a school that teaches needs people to practice on or someting im a young adult who needs $12,000 in dental work and jaw realignment because i didnt get orthodontics as a child when the dentist said i needed them. I had braces and retainer for 8 years from age 14 to 22. I wore headgear and later rubber bands. I think they made my upper jaw too small. It is at my far range of motion to close my teeth together and my jaw pops when I open it far. The only time I close my teeth completely together is when I am chewing. We can’t afford TMJ treatment, since the insurance doesn’t cover it. Principles of Orthodontics. a what? My son is 14 and we are having a hard time finding help getting braces for him. They are expensive and I can’t travel far to get them as I have three younger kids at home. We used to use the Shriners but it got too difficult for me to go out of state. We’re in Missouri and it’s impossible to find an orthodontist that takes medicaid. My husband makes too much to qualify for assistance (there’s a program that pays for care and medicaid pays them back) but with a family of 6 and bills, we don’t have the money to pay cash. I’d like to know of a dental insurance company or something we could look into. He really needs this done for bone grafting. I am doing research regarding coming a orthodontist. I am trying to figure out what exactly they do on a day to day basis and what kind of certificates or degrees do they need to get. Also what is the interpersonal relationships of the office and how would one go about achieving professional socialization to fit in to the office. Ive been wanting to get braces for years. Ive looked into Apple Ortho and private Orthodontics. Is it better to go to Apple a place that is well known, or to a private ortho? Does anybody have any bad experiences with Apple or Monarch Dental? I have insurance but it does not cover orthodontics because it is considered “cosmetic”. I want to go into orthodontics and i’m about to graduate high school… i know i’m suppose to get a bachelors degree, then go to dental school and then do 2-3 years of training… but i don’t know what exactly i’m suppose to get a bachelors degree in. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments or is going through this… i really need help I have an orthodontic evaluation tomorrow and I am kinda nervous. I don’t know why. I am just curious to know since my insurance will not cover treatment, how does the payment plan work? Are they directly through the provider’s office or through a finance company? I don’t have much credit so I am curious to know. |
