Can Someone Please Help Me?! – Its Kind Of A Law Question … Thanks So Much In Advance!?

I have an orthodontist – who i was supposed to pay 4000 dollars in exchange for Invisalign (the braces) After about a year – i had paid off 3200 of the 4000 – but now i realized i dont like her work and basically she really screwed up my teeth …
i would like to go to a different orthodontist – (who i met with today – he told me he would accept 2000 as a payment for braces – since i already had braces before)
basically – i want to know – if i go by him – do i need to finish paying the rest of the 800 dollars to my other denist? technically – she didnt finish my teeth – so the 4000 was assuming my teeth would be done – she basically only worked on my teeth half way
(i live in michigan – if it makes a different regarding the law)
i want to call her and say ” listen screw off – im paying the 800 dollars i still owe – because technically you didnt finish my teeth – and the complete 4000 was to be paid upon completion of my teeth!”
could i get away with this?

Quick Question About Invisalign, Dr Please?

I am 19, I have been to orthodontist many times, but yea i ddint loose all my baby teeth until i was like 16 and it took them a while to come in. I am actually traveling all the time, and very involved in international business. I will be switching between USA and Brasil very frequently but I do want to get the whole teeth thing straighten before I am much older. I do not want the traditional metal braces, and since money is no barrier for me any kind of treatment would work that will provide the fastest and best results. Doctors are humans and I have read many doctors blogs some say its great, some say its horrible, its like when i am in miami the sun is good for you, get lots, when in NYC stay away it will kill you, so yea I would like a few reliable answers and be informed about any other kinds of treatments, retainers etc.

Dental Insurance Question?

my family have a “MANAGED CARE PLANS”
My father’s work place has given him a dental insurance for 30 dollars per month for my entire family.
I went to the insurance website it says orthodontics 1250 co pay. I am sure the treatment is for 3 years. If my father cancels dental insurance or my father moves to an another job place what happens to my orthodontics treatment does it affects my treatment or do I have to pay any extra?????

Question About Insurance Covering Dental Procedures? Please Answer!!?

My insurance covered my orthodontics as a teen.
They covered all routine dental work.
They covered a procedure in which I had a baby tooth pulled, because there was no adult tooth underneath.
They paid for the retainer that I had to wear in order to prepare my mouth for the eventual ‘fake tooth’ that would be installed in the ‘hole’.
They now say that they will not pay for the procedure in which the fake tooth will actually *be* installed, nor for any related lab tests and referrals, calling it a ‘cosmetic procedure’.
What the h*ll!!
If this is cosmetic, then what, exactly is orthodontics defined as?
And how about the pulling of the tooth in the first place?
Why will they not pay for the final result?
(any answer appreciated, since I now have a big hole in my mouth, and can’t afford the several-thousand dollars to fix this!)

Invisalign Question!?

I saw an orthodontist recently and was told I would need regular metal braces for 15-18 months on my top and bottom teeth, and was quoted for around $5000. From the looks of it, I am a good candidate for Invisalign braces. If I were to go with Invisalign over traditional braces, about how long would I need to keep them on, and how much would it cost?
Any help would be greeeatly appreciated!

Invisalign Question? Help!?

I had just visited the orthodontist. I have perfect teeth other than the fact I have a gap in the front two teeth. Not small but quite noticable. He requested braces for 4 months which will be cheaper and take less time as well as keep the gap closed for sure. I asked about invisalign and he said it would cost a little more and take a little more time, around a year to close the gap. He also said a retainer would have to be worn for a pretty long time at night so gap stays closed. I would liek some opinions as to what you guys think and if you have had gaps and what worked best with you. Also does invisalign work better than braces for my gap problem? Let me know, thanks.

Invisalign Question?

I had a consultation with my orthodontist today and she talked to me about Invisalign. She said that if I get metal braces I’ll have them for 1 1/2 to 2 years and I’d have Invisalign for aobut 2 years. Im going to be a high school senior and dont really want the metal braces for college. Is Invisalign a good choice for me or should I stick to the metal braces?

Invisalign- Question About A Unique Case?

I’ve been told various things about invisalign. Anyway, the midline of my bottom teeth are way off. I saw one person who told me Invisalign was effectively the same as braces in terms of being able to correct problems. I saw another who said they’d definitely put me in braces instead. The pro-Invisalign person is a cosmetic dentist who’s had about 30 years of experience in his craft, and is one of the lead Invisalign providers in the area. The anti-Invisalign person is an orthodontist who provides Invisalign as well, but with only a few years experience. Sure, a doctor who is a so-called expert on Ivisalign is going to push their product, but who’s to say they don’t really know more about it, and are therefore correct in their assessment? On the other hand, who knows I guess…Sorry about the long-winded explanation but does/has anyone had Invisalign for more significant issues, and who would you tend to side with on this matter? Thanks!

Invisalign Question: What If My Trays Stop Fitting?

So I’m on my 11th of 19 invisalign trays, and for the last 6 trays or so, I’ve ONLY been wearing them to sleep. This means I’m only wearing them 7-8 hours a day as opposed to the 22 hrs a day that you’re supposed to wear them. My current invisalign trays feel fine on my teeth, but when I looked in the mirror closely, I could see a bit of space between the tray and my teeth, meaning it’s not fitting completely snugly.
What should I do? should I continue wearing my trays (since they feel fine) even though they look like they are not fitting as tightly as they should?
For the record, I’m at college in another state, so my orthodontist has just given me the complete set of trays so I haven’t been doing the bi-weekly checkups.
