When one takes a visit to a state of the art orthodontist’s office today they can be assured that they are not going to be walking into a stogie office that smells of anesthetic and disinfectant. In fact, when you walk through the doors of the ultra modern orthodontists office you are going to feel like you just walked in the home of your dreams. Many of these offices are now set up like living rooms with décor and furniture that many of us only dream about having in our homes. Top this off with a wide screen TV and you think you have seen it all right? Well in most cases this is just the beginning. Many orthodontic offices are now being built with mini movie theatres to entertain the kids with perhaps an adjoining game room. It doesn’t stop here either. This same pizzazz is carried right into many of the treatment rooms. During your dental procedures you most likely will be able to just lay back and enjoy a great movie on the wall mounted HD television. Then if you would just rather relax, no doubt you will have a large selection of music to enjoy with a pair of infra red or Bluetooth headphones. Don’t pass up the view either. Many orthodontists offices are being strategically built where they offer some amazing views that almost make one think they are on a vacation. One orthodontist specializing in braces in katy has said that now many patients are quite disappointed when their trips to the orthodontist come to an end. This is especially true with the kids, when the mini theatres they find at their orthodontist’s office is far superior to the one they have to spend their allowance on to go and see a movie. Aside from the décor, one can just imagine what the caliber of equipment must be that one would find in offices such as these. In fact many kids now have no qualms about going to an office such as this even for something as significant as braces. With the equipment and technology the orthodontics industry is experiencing, kids are looking at braces as making a fashion statement. Just as an example there is the intra oral video camera. This is a nifty piece of equipment which magnifies a picture of the patient’s teeth and gums allowing the dentist to make a much more precise diagnosis. The best part is you can actually see the picture on a television monitor. Couple this with the before and after pictures you can see will most likely convince you that the services your orthodontist is offering are both needed and wanted. To top this though has to be the Orthodontic Picasso. This has got to be the most futuristic segment of the modern orthodontist’s office of today. Then when one looks at just how this industry is growing in leaps and bounds, it’s almost become a challenge to visit one’s orthodontist’s office just to see what’s new.

This year we’ve been extra cautious about attendance, only missing two days for the flu which was excused, and dental appointments. But yesterday I recieved a summons to court for attendence.
After getting to the bottom of things, apparently my kid stopped going to her last period class and instead was in another class as a teachers aid.
All along, absences were piling up from the other class, but nobody from the school informed me, even when they had the chance to when I would call attendance to report we were sick with flu or that I was picking up my kid for orthodontics and dental appointments.
This had been going on for 12 straight school days with nobody seemingly being concerned enough until it was time to turn it over to the law to so much as call me.
Now I’ve learned that it wasn’t my kid’s idea but a friend of hers to go work as a teachers aid in another class. This friend did not recieve any discipline because she was best friends with a girl who is one of the vice principal’s daughters.
I feel strongly that my daughter’s teacher purposefully allowed the build up of absences.
I also feel that the teacher who was using my daughter as a teacher’s aid also disregarded her responsibilty to at least know who her aids were, and if they were permitted to do this.
Also the assistant principle’s pulling of strings for the one girl to “get her off the hook” is inappropriate.
All in all, I’ve become leary of these people now. After my daughter faces the judge and recieves probation, it will only take one of these people to make one mark and we’ll be hauled back into court for the fine and other possible actions.
Should I call in the state board of education at this point?

Hi I need a little help with a braces situation. See my parents are divorced me and my sis live with my mom in Florida but spend summers with our dad in New York. I was just wondering if I could have my braces put on in New York but have them checked up and taken off in florida? (our insurance doesn’t cover orthodontics in florida.)

I am 5 months into my Invisalign treatment and I need to move to another state. I pay the orthodontist in monthly payments out of my own pocket without the aid of insurance. I would think this would be easy, cause the ortho doesn’t really do anything other than look at them and give me new aligners. But if I do get transfered, would I have to finish paying the ortho I have now in full, and then when I get a new ortho would I have to pay him in full also? If anyone has been through this or knows anything about this, I would really appriciate it!

Here’s the scenario, I want to get invisalign because right now I have a full time job so I have Metlife Dental that will cover 60% So if I were to get Invisalign now and move to another state (from WI to CO) in four months, would the orthodontist just transfer my info/aligners to another orthodontist in Colorado? Also when I move, I won’t have dental insurance anymore and will I need to pay more fees? If I have to, do you know how much? Help?

Orthodontics Defined Orthodontics may be the specialty of dentistry that's concerned using the study and treatment of malocclusion (improper bites), which may be a result of tooth irregularity, disproportionate jaw relationships, or both. Orthodontic therapy can focus on dental displacement only, or can deal using the control and modification of facial growth. In the latter case it is better defined as "dentofacial orthopedics". Orthodontic therapy can be carried out for purely aesthetic reasons with regards to improving the general appearance of patients' teeth. Nevertheless, you will find orthodontists who work on reconstructing the whole face rather than focusing exclusively on teeth. Therapy is also frequently prescribed for practical reasons for example providing the patient having a functionally improved bite (occlusion).
