I am 27, Male. I have gap in my front teeth. I have consulted a orthodontics doctor. It was very basic examination. I was asked to get the X-rays and Models ( which cost around $400).
Secondly, my insurance doesn’t have ortho coverage and they told me treatment would cost as high as $5000. I have tried to get ortho coverage added to my insurance; looks like it was not possible with my existing group insurance.
Now, I am wandering around with the following questions ?
1. Is it really possible to get gaps closed at 27 ?
2. Are there any suggestions about the type of the treatment (should be inexpensive, since I can’t afford $5000 )?
3. Anyways, doctor said he would decide about treatment plan after the X-rays (spending like $400 on this).. Not sure what Doctor would say afterwards.
4. What would be the best possible solution to this problem with the given constraints.

I grind my teeth. They are perfectly straight from years of orthodontics, but they are chipping in front and have grooves in them from grinding. I have a bite splint now, but my teeth just seem to be chipping even more.
I don’t want to pay for cosmetic procedures, like bonding or veneers, but I’m afraid if I don’t get something done, my teeth will continue to just chip away.
Is this a common thing covered by insurance if it’s not for cosmetic reasons?

I am looking to buy insurance and I need my wisdom teeth out. What is that called?? I want to get insurance that will pay pretty well for that service, but I do not know what “type” of service that is.
There is Endodontics, Periodontics, Orthodontics (don’ think it is that one)…
Some Insurance plans pay more for 1 type than another, so which “kind” of dental work is that? Thanks

I’m going to Vegas on July 10th and want to be fairly certain that I won’t be in any pain or held back from doing anything (smoking, drinking, eating) when I’m in Vegas. Since that’s about 4 weeks, from what I’ve read, its plenty of time. Also, I have Invisalign right now. I don’t want to wait till I’m done because the chance that my wisdom teeth can cause my Invisalign straightening to be negated, but should I be able to wear my trays after a few days? They only go to my last molar and are very tight fitting, so I don’t see how it would really hurt if I wait a few days after my extraction to start wearing them again. Any orthodontists with advice?

OK i know there’s plenty of questions on here about this already, some are similar but not the same, and i want to add more detail
ok so all my teeth are straight apart from the left front tooth, the bottom edge of it is stuck behind the right front tooth, by a tinyyyyyy bit , i reckon it could be simple to fix because i can stick my thumb nail in the gap and pull the tooth out from behind and my teeth look straight then but it just moves back behind it, which is so annoying,it looks like it was meant to be straight but missed out by a tiny bit,
ive been doing loads of research on ways to fix it, braces, inman aligner, invisalign, dentures and all that but i don’t think it’s serious enough that i’d need some sort of brace? i know about ’shaving’ teeth at the bottom but can they do it from the side of the tooth so the tooth can come through, or is it now going to need some sort of pressure to push it forward? i know it sounds stupid and not worth fixing but it makes me really insecure and im shy enough as it is! and even tho people reckon they dont notice it, i do. im 18 ,19 next month, i know no orthodontist work is NOT free on the nhs no matter what, so im willing to pay watever, if anyone knows a price range ? thanks! and sorry for the longggg question x

i had regular braces for three years to fix my laterals because they protruded up and out. by the time i got the braces off, all of my upper teeth slanted outwards, and my laterals still looked awkward because they’re rounded from grinding pre-braces. they’ve since gotten worse because i didn’t wear my retainer, it didn’t fit and was uncomfortably tight and made my gums bleed–but my orthodontist tightened it when i complain that it didn’t fit right. they look almost the same as they did before the braces, except now my two front teeth are slightly misaligned and my bottom teeth are crooked too, and i have an overbite. i really want to fix my teeth. I’m fifteen and they really affect my life and I’m just…unbelievable conscious about them.
so, one, will invisalign be able to fix this? because if braces aren’t necessary then it would be great if i don’t have to have to have metal mouth haha.
and two, should i get veneers on my laterals and then braces? because they’re rounded, i don’t think they’re ever going to look ‘right’.

i have an open bite
an orthodontist told me if i had braces my front teeth would be too long for my bottom teeth even though they would be straight
would it be possible to get them filed down?
they said the only way i can get them perfect is surgery and theres no way in on earth i wanna do that
would invisalign work? i’ve read about cases on the internet where it has been successful in cases such as mine
i’m very unhappy about the way my teeth look

i have large teeth and have been told by orthodontist the front two are being pushed forward….didn’t need him to tell me cos they hurting so much and i can see how they’ve moved back to how they were since i had my braces off 8 years ago ( i was bad and didn’t wear retainer).
i’m getting invisalign (invisablebraces) fitted in 2-3 months but how much will they move before then? noticeably? is there anything i can do to limit damage? have had two wisdom teeth taken out at the back (what started to much them forward) but they are still moving and it’s really getting to me! cannot bite sellotape now as teeth don’t fit together properly (not that biting sellotape is the reason i want teeth fixed!)
don’t need remedy for pain – am ok with this, more worried about the vanity aspect!!
can they move much in three months?
