i am 25 and can not afford private health cover i am in desperate need of orthodontics and was wondering if there was a place you could get them for free maybe a school that teaches needs people to practice on or someting
I had braces 2 years ago. My teeth were perfect when I got them off. The retainer I got was fucked up when I got it and made my teeth more crooked. My orthodontist wouldn’t give me a new one so I smashed it so he would have to give me a new one. It fit. I lost it near the beginning of the new year. My front left tooth has gradually become noticeably crooked, kinda turned outward. I haven’t been able to go to the orthodontist yet but I’m getting a molding done for a retainer next Tuesday. Is there anything I can do to fix the crooked tooth? Maybe one or two invisalign retainers (how much do you think that would cost)? I can’t do braces again. Not because I am embarassed by them. Because that would be way too expensive to just fix one tooth (most of braces price are hardware, not how long you’ll have them) but invisalign is more about how many sets of aligner things you have to have right? Any suggestions for getting it straight?

this is for an overjet (3 mm), and so i have to have 2 teeth from the top row removed and my teeth have to be pushed back
i want to know, can i use lingual braces for this (braces in the back of the teeth)? my orthodontist said something like it’ll take longer and they aren’t as effective, and so the results won’t be as good as they would be with trasitional braces, is this true???? i reallllllyyyyy don’t want to have regular braces again, would this work, i need a second opinion from orthodontists!!
(he said invisalign won’t work, so… yeah… i think this is my only hope)

My orthodontist/doctor says that i need braces. I toldd him that i didn’t want braces, i was wondering if I could have invisaline. He said that it will only last a few years and then your teeth will go back to the way that they are now, my bottom and top rows of teeth are in different places and they need to be slided over. Is there any other way that i can correct my teeth or does anyone have advice for invisalign( if you have had it before).

I went to an orthodontist’s office (getting Invisalign clear braces). They took impressions using some plastic trays (one was too big and they used another smaller set). They also took pictures of inside of my mouth. To help with the pictures, they used several pieces of plastic tools. One in particular is used to keep your tongue down or out of the way when taking pictures (looks like a small plastic spatula), another set of two is used to stretch the mouth (goes inside the mouth and has handles that stay outside to pull). They also used a mirror (put inside the mouth) 3″X4″ to take pictures, etc.
Q: How are all these plastic tools and the mirror sterilized? I am sure the mirror isn’t for one time use only.
Q: How about the rest of the plastic pieces? Are they reusable?
Q: Aren’t the technicians suppose to wear gloves when conducting this work?

I use Invisalign orthodontics (a retainer…I haven’t been to my orthodontist in years). I was on the website trying to find out what the plastic is made of, but couldn’t find out. Does anyone know?
I recently had a consult at an orthodontist’s office and they quoted me 5-6 g’s. I can’t afford this is anyone aware of any insurance companies that cover orthodontic work? I do not have employer coverage for any benefits.
I am 26 years old, and I want to wear braces. I try to enroll a dental insurance to save money but failed to find one that covers orthodontics for adults of my age. Can anyone give me any recommendation for the dental insurance? Many many thanks.
