Okay we found a nice location for sale and we want to build our first home on it! My husband recently finished orthodontics school but worked as a dentist while he was in orthodontics school so we have some money saved up and would like to build a nice little home for us and our brand new baby! We are currently living in an apartment. Here’s what we’d like our house to be like…
1 story. 3 bedrooms. 2 bathrooms. Kitchen. Dining area. Family room and a small porch out back.
We are thinking of making it out of brick.
I would LOVE for it to be made out of stone and wood but I’m thinking that would make it cost a lot more am I right? And if so how much more?
We arent plannning on have a living room, is that a buy idea and will it make it harder to sell?
I’m just wondering what you would estimate a house like this costing? Thanks for you answers!

I grind my teeth. They are perfectly straight from years of orthodontics, but they are chipping in front and have grooves in them from grinding. I have a bite splint now, but my teeth just seem to be chipping even more.
I don’t want to pay for cosmetic procedures, like bonding or veneers, but I’m afraid if I don’t get something done, my teeth will continue to just chip away.
Is this a common thing covered by insurance if it’s not for cosmetic reasons?

I lost my invisalign retainer at least 3 or 4 months ago and I’ve been irresponsible enough about it to not do anything until now. I still wear the upper half of my retainer which keeps my top row of teeth aligned, although my bite has significantly changed because I’m missing my lower aligner.
I want to buy a new one desperately, but I don’t have much money and what I do have I am saving up for college (which I will be attending in less than 2 months). I’m concerned because I’ve heard the cost for molds, etc will be around 300$!
My main questions are; How will my orthodontist be able to replace my lost retainer now that my teeth have moved?
and… How much will it cost?
Braces on the bottom half of my mouth would be so expensive… and my parents are definitely not willing to fix my mistakes so it’s up to me

I had braces for the first several years of high school. For whatever reason, neither of my canine teeth descended and were impacted in the bone. X-Rays revealed that one of these was in too awkward of a position to brought down down. The result was that my orthodontist was able to pull down one canine and I was left with the decision of whether to close the gap with the teeth I had or get a dental implant. Since at the time I wanted to get my braces off as soon as possible, I decided to just close the gap (I really shouldn’t have even been left with the decision at my age).
Since then, my teeth have shifted considerably. I now have slight crowding on the bottom, a bit of an angle across my entire top row of teeth, a shifted middle line on the top row, and a gap in the middle on top. I believe that all of this was caused by the asymmetry that I was left with at the end of my treatment. This resulted despite me wearing my retainers past the recommended time.
So my question is will Invisalign work for my needs and will I be able to wear the system while going through the process of getting a dental implant?
Here is a picture of my teeth. My teeth aren’t absolutely horrible but they’re bad enough for me to be self-conscious about them. Although it may look like I have canines on both sides of my mouth, the tooth on my right side (left in the picture) is actually my first premolar. Also, I’m 23.

I believe I’m getting my separators tomorrow for my appointment. I’ve heard different stories… Some say it doesn’t hurt right when they insert it but will after a while… Others say it hurts right at the moment…
There are so many stories I don’t know what to expect for myself. Will they hurt when they put it in or just after a while like a couple of hours..?
I’m getting ceramic braces, my bottom is perfectly straight and my top is barely crooked. But still I have to get both top & bottom supposedly because of the outcome alignment. I will be getting invisalign for my retainers and this is all for $2000 because my dad knows the orthodontist.
I was originally suppose to pull out 4 teeth but decided not too b/c I would only end up with 26 including pulling out my wisdom teeth when I get older.

Okay so my teeth have a lot of problems, i used to have an under bite but now two of my teeth in the front are going back into an under bite, and my jaw is shifting slowly one way because of it. another problem is that i act, and i got a callback from an agency, and im not sure if they would want me because im getting braces (i didn’t ask them or tell them that im going to get braces yet). i asked my orthodontist today if i could get invisalign but he said my teeth has a bigger issue so invisalign wont work. he suggested clear braces, but apparently they stain. But i forgot to ask him about braces behind your teeth, ive heard that it works really well with people who have major problems with their teeth and needs to straighten them out. but ive also heard it hurts, and it could affect your speech? is this true? but anyway i found the site: http://www.lingualcare.com/ their called iBraces. I just want to know if this is good, and if i should get them, If anyone has had this , or if anyone could help me or give me advice i will truly appreciate it!

I had those Invisalign braces and they didnt work like they were supposed to, so my orthodontist put wire braces on me. It has been a lil over a week now and they are still really sensitive. I cant take a bite of anything i have to shove the food in the back of my mouth due to the soreness….
will it ever go away??

I’m 21 years old and I have two canine teeth, like vampire fangs, they stick way out and it’s gross. I don’t even smile. I used to have a “welfare” medical insurance in washington state.. and I went in to get it taken care of, and my dentist referred me to an orthodontist and they didn’t want to take care of it because they considered it “cosmetic”. (my parents didn’t want to help either.)
I want to get invisalign if possible. My husband is an E-2 in the army.
