What “dental Service” Removes Wisdom Teeth?
I am looking to buy insurance and I need my wisdom teeth out. What is that called?? I want to get insurance that will pay pretty well for that service, but I do not know what “type” of service that is.
There is Endodontics, Periodontics, Orthodontics (don’ think it is that one)…
Some Insurance plans pay more for 1 type than another, so which “kind” of dental work is that? Thanks

Oral Surgeons will take them out under general anesthesia.
Endodontics are root canal specialists, periodontics is for gum disease and Ortho is braces.
oral maxillofacial
Oral surgey- and most insurances will cover about 50-80% of this service.
If you are planning to buy insurance on your own, its usually not really worth it.
As strange as it sounds costco offers a resonable dental insurance plan. Of course they offer an HMO which means u have to go off a certain list of dentists or else they will deny coverage. If you can stay with an employer they usually offer better dental insurance. Blue cross in my experience does not pay very well at all unless u go to a preffered provider.
