Which Braces Should I Get?

I’m 17 years old. I just got 2 of my impacted wisdom teeth pulled. I’m getting the other 2 pulled out in two weeks. I’m thinking about getting ICE braces ( http://www.iceclearbraces.com) or just ceramic, clear braces. Some orthodontists said I can get Invisalign but others said I can’t. What should I do? Do clear braces stain easily?

The only time any of the clear/ceramic braces stain is if you eat a lot of acidic food (tomatoes, spaghetti sauces, etc.) or if you smoke. They get just a slight yellowish color to them.
I do not recommend Invisilign at all. Most doctors don’t tell you, but sometimes they have to glue little globs of the braces glue to the front of your teeth to really snap in the trays for some extra force. Also, if your teeth are crowded at all, they have to file the teeth down some to make them fit.
I would go with the braces for sure, and just be careful about what you eat and take good care of your teeth with your brushing. (Even if you can’t brush, at least rinsing your mouth out will help a lot).
    Good luck to you!!!

I would not recommend invisalign. One of my good friends has them and it’s been six months. No noticeable difference what so ever. What they tell you: Straighten your teeth in just 5 months! Haha it’s too good to be true. The end result is also still not as good as regular braces. I was planning on invisalign as well but some dentists told me I could and some told me I couldn’t (like you). Chances are if some are telling you no, your teeth don’t meet the requirements. If they say you can, then your teeth probably COULD use them but your success rate wont be very high. I would just go with regular ceramic braces based own knowledge. I don’t know much about the ICE braces(they look good!) but my brother had the ceramic clear ones and they worked as well as ugly metal ones would. I have the ugly metal! haha

I would go with ceramic. Thats what I have on my top teeth and on my bottom I have regular braces. I am SOOO glad I was able to have ceramic braces on top. It helps me feel less self-conscious. Mine don’t stain, and I even eat food that they tell you not to have! Ceramic braces are tooth-colored braces, and in my opinion are more comfortable than the original metal braces. The only drawback (for some) is that you cant really see the colors very well. I always get clear color with my ceramic braces but once, my sister got colors, and they were very faint.
