Which Braces?

I’m getting braces in a few weeks. I’m 16 years old and i have the option of metal braces or clear braces (not invisalign) just like you only have the wire and the brackets are clear. has anyone had clear braces I dont know which one i want to get. The orthodontist said that the clear ones get stained if you eat like mustard and drink coffee and stuff and i do but he said you get the clear bands changed every 5-6 weeks so i dunno what do you all think?? have you had either of these? I dont care about having metal on my teeth i just want my teeth to be straight.

  Just get regular metal. I have clear ones….they’re more expensive, you can still notice them, and the brackets are bigger.

  I got pink braces this time round and they are much easier to look after than my old clear ones. As my orthodontist says “If you’ve got it you might as well flaunt it”… so pink it was! Also the clear ones were not very nice to look at when people noticed.

  i heard from a friend that the clear ones hurt more so go for the metal ones and the clear ones look awful when they get stained!
